How ALiM is Different
Learner-Centrality begins with the students as active participants who make their own decision about how they will learn. Your student will make the conscious decision to become partners with their teacher to actively engage their cognitive learning skills both inside classroom walls and outside of the school. They will understand expectations, be given instruction on how to monitor their own development and be able to work in different settings such as collaboration with others, autonomously or in project-form.
Gone are the days when the teacher stands in front and talks AT the students, now teachers should be working more collaboratively. The focus has shifted and calls for less lecturing. Teachers shouldn't always be in front of the classroom, but rather, be around it, working with students.
